Welcome to my new website!
I'm so excited to finally be here.
It took me long enough.
I tried a couple of different sites, but this one seemed the most user friendly. So, this is the one I had to go with. I'm going to give it a try anyway. There's so much I want to do.
Feel free to look around and make yourself at home.
I'm looking forward to playing around and adding some things and posting more often.
I had a speaking engagement last week and I want to share some of my moments with you.
First of all, I'm a writer, not a speaker. So, I was way out of my comfort zone. But, the craziest thing happened. I really enjoyed it.
About 15 minutes before the meeting started, I received a text message from my 16 year old son. He wanted to let me know he was praying for me and not to be nervous because God would be with me and then Zach told me he loved me. Y'all, I can't tell you in words what that meant to me. And I believe with all my heart, after the first initial 2 minutes of facing those women, I settled right down and the next 28 were a breeze. God hears the prayers of our children.
And yes, I spoke for 30 minutes. And I knew I was going to have to. I prepared for like 2 weeks. Even up until 10:00 the night before I was still making notes. And then the morning of the meeting ... my eyes flew open at 5 a.m.
The meeting was last night.
I just knew I had missed the whole thing. For some reason, I suddenly believed the meeting was scheduled on Monday instead of Tuesday. And I had written the date wrong. I had all kinds of scenarios running through my head. They were all waiting for me and I never showed up. I was finally invited to a speaking event and I missed it.
Finally, I checked my notes and found out I was wrong and was able to relax.
That was not funny.
Until that night. After I finished speaking.
So, until next week, I'll reveal more of what I shared with the ladies.
